J. Chris Webster joined Hicks McDonald Noecker, LLP, as our NC Certified Paralegal in May, 2016. His duties with the firm are varied, including case management, litigation preparation, document review and research, client contacts and intake, and daily learning about the intricacies of the unique path of this firm. He has noted that the firm’s mix of civil law with precedent setting constitutional law are of particular fascination and challenge to him. Chris works closely with Mrs. Bowman, our experienced Legal Administrator, to help manage the flow of documents and communications related to the many and varied cases.
Chris’ background as a career classroom teacher and sports coach, after shorter tenures in hotel and foodservice management along with newspaper editing, provide him with a skill set that translates readily to the legal profession. Having completed the coursework for paralegal certification at Guilford College in December of 2014, Chris gained his North Carolina Certification in the Spring of 2015, and happily landed at, as he calls it, the “progressive and friendly” Hicks McDonald Noecker firm anxious to contribute to “the backbone of democracy”.
Having avocational experience with theater production, Chris maintains an active interest in the performing arts. He has found a place of comfort and inner growth at The Servant Leadership School, taking many classes over many years concerning compassionate leadership. Chris continues to be active in his favorite sports: basketball, soccer, ballroom dance, golf, and tennis, while continuing to do academic tutoring and helping care for neglected animals through Hold My Unicorn pet service.
